GIVEAWAY day is here!

*GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED*
 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok, you all voted for what I should put in the giveaway and the majority of the votes were for this Orange Damask Buttercup Bag! So here it is, and with it, some random awesomeness.
The Buttercup bag, 4 solid red cloth napkins and very sweet floral table runner, and some random fabric yo-yo's! Hint: yo-yo's can be added to any bag, shirt, dress, etc, with a safety pin on the back! I like to sew a button on the front of the yo-yo too, as seen on some of the bags in my shop.

To enter to win this awesomeness:

1. Simply leave me a comment telling me about one of your favorite Christmas memories.

2. For another entry, follow my blog and tell me you did.

3. For another entry, tweet or blog about my giveaway and let me know you did.

**PLEASE include your email address so that I can contact you in case you win! (For example: jensmith (at) gmail (dot) com )

I am looking forward to seeing all of your comments and hearing about your fond memories.  Here's mine: My mom's Christmas village! She's been collecting over the years and has filled up an entire table and it is a sight to behold! When I was a kid, I really enjoyed imagining the families who lived in the village, walking around town going to the park, the bank, etc. So fun! Here's a view:

I'll be picking the winner Saturday evening around 6PM by random.org.
So make sure and get your entries in!  And stay tuned...in the next few days I'll be posting a super easy DIY Christmas project/gift idea that pretty much anyone can do!
Have a great day, all. I'll be enjoying mine with tissues stuffed up my nose and staying in my pajamas until some generous soul comes over and watches my kids so I can take a nap.  (Long night. Don't ask or you'll certainly get an earful of complaints from this tired mama.)

Love!
Jenn

My favorite Christmas memory happens every year when it's time to buy another nutcracker for our collection. Because my birthday is so close to Christmas, my parents would take me to go see the Nucracker ballet and then we'd buy a nutcracker. They don't have the ballet around here and my daughter isn't old enough to sit through it yet but we at least keep the nutcracker a year tradition going :)

My faveorite Christmas memory was the first year my older brother shopped by himself to get his gifts. He got one gift. He wrapped it in a brown box and duct tapped it shut. It was for me. A stuffed raccon a almost sqeezed hard enought to pop off his head when I saw him. I named him Raxy & I still have him, his cute velvey nose long ago rubbed naked.
Best gift ever from my big bro.

My favorite Christmas memory is the "Advent boxes" my Mom did for us every year . . . little boxes with slips of paper with activities that we did, i.e. make snowball cookies, get a tree, put out nativity, etc.

Thanks for the chance.

my favorite memory of Christmas (still rings true today) is my dad reading the Christmas story from the Bible and then opening up the conversation for each of us to share. this story and a prayer starts off Christmas for us every year!

I finally figured out how to subscribe to you yesterday. I love that orange bag! I've had my eye on it a while, but I really need a bigger purse now so I can fit my calendar in it bc I can't function w/o my calendar. One of my favorite Christmas memories is when my bro, sis and I put up and decorated the artificial tree and videotaped it. We were just kind of weird, so watching it makes me laugh. We twirled the tree around to get the lights on it. melissawidrick@gmail.com

Some of my fondest memories of Christmas when I was a kid were going to find and cut down the tree with my Dad. Another one was preparing the manger for baby Jesus. When my Mom's flower garden would dry up for the fall she would save the iris leaves and we got to add leaves to the manger every day to make it soft for baby Jesus. I think we may have had to do a chore or something.

Thanks for the opportunity to win the clutch! My favorite Christmas memory is when we spent the day with my grandmother in Manhattan when she was still alive--eating Christmas dinner and then walking to see a show afterwards.

Thanks again!

My favorite Christmas memory is from when I was 5 years old. My baby brother was born on Dec 14th and his dad wasn't a big help with anything so my mom wasn't able to put up our Christmas tree (she couldn't get the boxes up from the basement, etc). So instead we took these big sheets of paper and colored a Christmas tree, which we then taped to the wall. It took FOREVER but was so much fun to spend some quality time with my mom.

Christmas spent at Aunt Betty's house is my favorite memory. All of us cousins would stay up as late as we could and play games. After opening presents on Chrsitmas morning, Grandmom would make old-fashioned southern biscuits on Christmas morning and my Mom would bring homemade strawberry jam. I miss those days...

Ok, I have many heartwarming stories BUT this is not very sentimental or heartwarming, but a tradition that will be passed down...

24hrs of "A Christmas Story"

We don't turn the channel. The TV stays on all night and we wake up to it in the morning.

favorite Christmas memory is of going to Idaho with grandparents and watching Santa on the boat on Lake C'da and then in a helicopter flying over the city...good time!

My favorite memory of Chirstmas happened when I was about six years old. We always went to my grandparent's house for Christmas eve. On our way home we saw santa with a bag full of toys entering someone's house! I'll never forget that.

My favorite Christmas memory is watching 'White Christmas' every year (best Christmas movie ever!) while stringing popcorn and cranberries...I used to do this with my mom and now I do it with my kids. Well, they string for about 10 minutes and then run away proclaiming how my movie is boring...but I enjoy it :) Hopefully someday they will too!
