My Creative Space and a bunch of random stuffs

**head on over to Kootoyoo for more amazing creative spaces**

Happy Thursday!!

It's been a busy week here at the Greuty home!  For a few days, the weather was wonderful (pardon the alliteration), so we were outside quite a bit. Also, I've been quite preoccupied with my current obsession: Etsy browsing. Seriously obsessed. It's a real problem.  Anytime I make a little bit extra in my shop, I usually use that money to buy somebody (or myself) a gift. I have a sister and a friend who are having birthdays early next month, so as you can imagine, I have some important shopping to do.  Naturally, I will try and make them something as well, but I so love supporting the handmade business!  Here are a few of my favorites that I added to my cart for purchasing as soon as I win the lottery:
Gorgeous shabby chic earrings from PoshPatina
pink studs from baydesign
this amazing fabric by Jennifer Pananelli from freshsqueezedfabrics, my favorite fabric shop!
Be encouraged and persuaded by these pictures to go to these shops and by stuff but I must warn you, if you buy these particular items, I may come to your house and steal them while you sleep.

There hasn't been a ton of time for sewing, or motivation actually, but I did manage to get a bunch of stuff cut out for the shop.

Some of the purses I'm making are going to be hard to let go of. The fabrics and patterns are abs gorg. Lately, I've been making almost all of my bags out of fancy designer fabric, and it never fails that once I finish it, my first thought is: "Ooooh. This would look great with my blablabla shirt and bluedyblooda pants, I probably should keep it."   One of these days,  I really do need to make myself one though. I hate my current storebought purse, but any crafter knows that you are usually your own last priority.  I gotta get on it though. My purse is really ugly.

Sorry if you like it. You can have it.

I need some help!  My current slipcover for this chair (this pic is without the cover) is basically falling apart.

I need to make a new one, and I'm thinking something like this:
from PrudentBaby
Any ideas or thoughts?  I almost always lean towards white for slipcovers but I've seen in my house, it's pretty much the worst idea ever.  And a word to the wise: sippy cup valves make false promises.

Much love to my faithful readers! Thanks for putting up with me.

you know i love that chair just the way it is! so seventies!! heaven. :) but i do like that red and white print - really fun! and it would hide all those sippy cup accidents, too.
you look super pretty in that last photo. really like your hair!! :)

wow, both sets of earrings and that fabric are totally you! I really like the red and white slipcover, too. (couldn't you Scotchguard your slipcover, regardless of what color it is? that would at least help a little, right?)
and I agree with Lora, you look beautiful in that photo!

You are gorgeous Jen! What a pretty photo of you! Love that red and white slipcover. I really need to tackle making some slipcovers for our furniture but it seriously scares me. :)

i love the idea of the red slip cover or covered professionally in that fabric or whatever you are going to do :)

looks brilliant!

i sometimes wish i kept some of my products for me too, but i always think but then i can get $ and then i can buy X ... even tho i rarely buy myself something with the $!

I say make yourself a bag and KEEP it! :)
